The Shark LAP (Lifejacket AirPocket plus) is one of the most commonly used lifejackets in the UK North Sea by Helicopter passengers and it is a requirement by OPITO that personnel are familiar with its use and deployment in an emergency situation.
The programme forms part of mandatory BOSIET and FOSIET training for offshore workers.
